This animation examines the relationship between memory and objects, investigating the tendency to anthropomorphize material things as if they possess and retain memories. The work considers the extent to which human remembrance depends upon the material world, where objects function as anchors for personal and collective histories. By animating a park chair, the piece brings this inquiry into focus, reimagining the object as an active presence rather than a passive vessel.
