Ecdysis reflects on self-reinvention as both renewal and entrapment: one skin is shed only to assume another, yet each transformation returns to the same unresolved core. The body functions as canvas and identity as an ongoing, cyclical performance of becoming. Intercut footage walking through the Greenwich Foot Tunnel, its seemingly endless passage looping without conclusion, mirrors this perpetual motion. The work questions the desire for continual reinvention, asking whether it offers liberation or simply conceals vulnerability. Bound, unadorned, and exposed, the body remains inescapably itself.
